Competitor SEO analysis is one of the fastest paths to ranking growth. Step 1: identify your top 5 organic competitors using Semrush or Ahrefs -- these may be different from your direct business competitors. Step 2: export their top-ranking keywords and filter for keywords you don't rank for yet. Step 3: analyze their content: word count, structure, internal links, backlinks. Step 4: look for content gaps -- keywords they rank for that you have no page targeting. Step 5: create better, more comprehensive content targeting those keywords.
